Multi Year Maintenance

Customers that purchase Avaya's maintenance contract with the annual billing
option from Westcon Group should be aware of the background and processes
that are mandated by Avaya:
   
Distributors are required to place an upfront 3-year purchase order with Avaya.
In order to prompt reseller for maintenance renewal, Westcon Group will display the 2nd and 3rd year maintenance charges under the customer's account as an Open Sales Order report.
Westcon Group will NOT automatically bill the reseller for 2nd and 3rd year maintenance without receiving a reseller PO covering the purchase of 2nd and 3rd year maintenance.

It should be noted that the 2nd and 3rd year maintenance charge showing in the report you receive from Westcon Group is for illustration and reminder purposes, however reseller is encouraged to place purchase order for the 2nd and 3rd year maintenance.

If the reseller does not provide a purchase order indicating the purchase of  2nd or 3rd year maintenance, Westcon Group will automatically cancel our order with Avaya, and there will be no further obligation on the reseller.  But the reseller should be aware that the equipment is no longer covered by a service contract.
