Disruptions to deliveries as a result of the ash cloud over southern Australia

Wed, 22 Jun 2011

To all customers,

As a result of the volcanic ash cloud from Chile, many Australian airports were closed Tuesday 21st June but all are planned to reopen Wednesday 22nd June.

Here is a list of the planned reopening times:

Services to and from Sydney are suspended and will resume at 2pm 22nd June
Services to and from Adelaide are suspended and will resume at 5am 22nd June
Services to and from Canberra are suspended and will resume at 1 pm 22nd June
Services to and from Hobart will be suspended from midnight and will reopen at 5pm 22nd June
Services to and from New Zealand will be suspended from 7am 22nd June local time until further notice.

Domestic road freight is operating normally but is experiencing capacity constraints due to air freight being rerouted e.g. many flights due to land in Sydney have been rerouted to Brisbane and freight will be trucked down.

As a result of current, and future unplanned, airport closures there will be delays with both inbound and domestic freight as the back log of freight is cleared and air space is returned to normal.

We thank you for your understanding and will provide more updates as received.
