Westcon Group wins the Multi-Theatre and Global Distributor of the Year Awards at the Cisco Summit in Hawaii
Westcon Group is pleased to announce that it was presented with two prestigious awards at this year's Cisco Partner Summit held in Hawaii. Westcon was named ''Global Distributor of the Year" and ''Multi-Theatre Partner of the Year''. Our innovative global programs, our commitment to growth and emerging markets and leadership in developing the SMB market, were cited as some of the key reasons for our nomination.

Launch of Westcon Group's Small Business Quote Configurator Tool ::
In response to the recent feedback we have received from the channel, we have developed a small business quote configurator tool with one key objective in mind - to streamline and simplify the ordering process for the Unified Communications System (UC500).
The small business quote configurator tool will be available over the next few weeks so let us know if you are interested in obtaining the tool. Once it's available Westcon Group will email you with the relevant download information.
Westcon Group's SMB Update Series Roadshow comes to an end ::
The Westcon and Cisco SMB Update Series roadshow come to a close this week. Nathan Godsall, our Cisco SMB Business Development Manager and 'product guru' has been travelling around the country providing the partner community with live demonstrations of Cisco's Smart Business Communications System. We will also provide our partner community with access to the presentation from the roadshow in next week's channel alert - so stay tuned!
The forum has also provided the opportunity for resellers to learn about the new IPCelerate product range featuring the IPSmartSuite business intelligent communications solution which is now available through Westcon Group.

Look who's joined the Cisco team at Westcon Group for 2008 ::
Westcon Group have pleasure in announcing some new faces to our Cisco team:
Sam Paris joined Westcon Group in early March taking on the responsibility of the Cisco business unit. Sam brings tremendous experience into our ANZ business having previously worked in our UK office as the International Business manager for the global business.
Ajay Singh also makes a return to Westcon Group rejoining our pre-sales team. Ajay brings a wealth of presales and technical experience to his role, having already worked at Westcon Group for 3.5 years prior to his stint working with one of our key Cisco channel partners.
